Professional Learning
Foundational Beliefs
We believe In the strength of the individual. We believe our counselor and scholars are inherently worthy, apart from any metric or measurement. We take an asset-based, culturally sustaining approach in all of our resources.
We believe that building a career and college going identity is a developmental process.
We believe that counseling and advising is an art and a science. Yes, we use a lot of data-informed advising practices in our resources, and we emphasize that it’s really the background and experiences of the practitioner in their community that adds texture and understanding to the advising relationship.
And finally, we believe that postsecondary credentialing matters, and there’s a program or institution for everyone.
