This event is designed for school practitioners looking to grow their knowledge and skill in a supportive learning environment. Ideal for new and novice counselors and advisors, this event will provide attendees with the opportunity to:

Contigo Ed will cover the cost of the workshop, hotel accommodations for 2 nights (for each participant), all meals and parking during the event. District/participants are responsible for all costs associated with travel to/from Dallas. Please work with your district or campus administrator to book or coordinate your travel to and from Dallas, TX.

Before we go, here are 3 fun facts to get you pumped about our time together:
Our accommodations at the Fairmont Dallas are AMAZING! This hotel is luxurious and in an excellent location. We think you’ll like it as much as we do.
You’ll get some cool SWAG! We won’t spill all the tea, but we want you to feel special so lookout for some cool SWAG coming your way when you check-in for the event.
We will learn AND have some FUN! We’ll share more about our dynamic sessions soon but be prepared to have some fun too. We will have an off-site evening social on day 2 with good food, a relaxed atmosphere and fun! Get ready!

We’re so excited to meet you next week! As a reminder, you can access our event webpage at your convenience which will have all the information you need about the event. This email is to highlight a few key updates and emphasize a few reminders:
Event Updates:
Health & Safety: We strive to maintain a healthy and safe learning environment for all during our professional learning events. Before you go, please be sure to check out our Health & Safety policy located at the bottom of our event webpage under the “Before you Attend” section.
Consent to Photograph, Film, or Record: We will be capturing our learning in action. Our statement of consent is also located on our event webpage under the “Before you Attend” section. You’ll have an opportunity to opt out at check-in, if you wish.
Hotel Check-in: We’ve reserved a single occupancy hotel room for your stay. You can check-in as early as 4pm on Monday! All you need is your ID and a credit card for incidentals.
Parking: If you plan to drive, valet parking is available at the hotel. We will cover your parking costs, just simply provide your name and room number (if requested) after you check-in.

What to bring: Dress is casual! The hotel may get chilly at times so if you get cold easily, feel free to pack a light sweater. This policy is designed to prioritize the health and safety of all participants while ensuring a smooth and successful experience for all participants. Attendees are encouraged to stay informed about any updates or changes to these guidelines as the event date approaches.
Health Requirements Prior to the Event
Participants are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and other relevant communicable diseases (e.g., flu) at least two weeks prior to the event
You should stay home if you are sick until at least 24 hours after your symptoms are gone or you test negative for common contagious diseases.
Monitor personal health for any symptoms of illness, such as fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath, in the days leading up to the event.
Health Protocols During the Event
Contigo Ed will be following all health and safety protocols and guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and local/state health departments.
Any participant exhibiting symptoms of illness during the event should isolate immediately in their hotel room, and inform the event staff for further guidance.
Contigo Ed will follow current state and local guidelines regarding masks and will have masks available for participants.

The full cost of the workshop, including hotel (2 nights) and all meals and materials, will be covered by Contigo Ed. District/participants are only responsible for the costs of travel to/from Dallas.

We request that everyone, including those joining us from the Dallas area, stay at the hotel to fully engage in and benefit from the community-building and networking experiences we have planned. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from doing so, please indicate in your registration form and we will reach out to support you.

Please arrive by 5 pm on Monday, Aug 26 and depart the hotel anytime after 3 pm on Aug 28.
