Data Series for Educators

Contigo Ed is excited to be launching a series of Texas-focused blog posts around data! With these blog posts we hope to better equip leaders on how they can use data to improve outcomes for students. Our goal is to make this data more accessible and usable to you. Even if you’re not from Texas, we hope you’ll find some of this content useful as well as explore how it may be applicable to your state.

We will be sharing posts throughout this school year to share some of the resources we use and how we use them in our work. While these posts will mainly focus on publicly available data sources, our team also does a lot of work using districts’ student-level data. If that type of analysis would be of interest to you, please reach out to Noa on our data team (noa@contigoed.org)!

Who might find our upcoming posts useful? If you are asking yourself questions like the ones below, we are here to help!

Be on the lookout for blog posts such as…

  1. A guide to our go-to source on Texas data - TPRS

  2. What happens with our students after HS? Unpacking college enrollment, persistence, and attainment data

  3. Trying to benchmark yourself on completion with the New FAFSA? We can help

  4. Deciding between CTE programs of study?  How to use labor market data to inform CTE programming

In the meantime we invite you to explore our Texas College and Career Data Resource to learn about some of the different data sources we will be diving into more deeply in our upcoming blog posts.
